Under Article 51 of Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 (mainland UAE), an employee who completes at least one year of continuous service is entitled to end-of-service gratuity of 21 days' basic wage for each of the first 5 years and 30 days' basic wage for each year beyond 5 years, paid pro rata for part years. Total gratuity cannot exceed 2 years' wage. Like most calculators, this one uses a daily wage of basic monthly salary ÷ 30 and applies the cap as 24 months of basic salary; the law itself says "two years' wage". Days of unpaid absence do not count toward service.

End-of-service gratuity, cash for unused annual leave (paid at basic wage), pending unpaid salary for days worked, notice-period pay if the notice period was not worked, minus documented amounts you owe the employer such as loans or advances. A return ticket may also apply depending on your contract.

No. Under Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 (in force since 2 February 2022), gratuity is calculated the same way whether you resign or are terminated, provided you have at least one year of continuous service. The old reductions for resigning from an unlimited contract no longer apply.
